It's been a busy summer, so now that things have calmed down, we're going to play catch up.
The last week of June beginning of July we spent at my parents in Kent. Sky was only able to stay a day or so and was off to Officials camp in Ellensburg. But before he left, we went to a Mariners game! Thanks to Seattle traffic we missed almost the whole first half. boo. But we had a good time nonetheless.
My sister and her husband were off on a cruise (luckies) so Hayley got to play with Adriana and Logan all week.
We had a festive dinner on the deck, kabobs, pulled pork, corn on the cob and nectarine crumble for dessert.
Then it was off to Lake Meridian for a fireworks show.
They had just put in this really fantastic climbing toy at the park (literally, it was the first day it was open to kids) and there was TONS of kids swarming it all night. I was a little nervous to let Hayley play.
Hayley's still my little helper, whatever I'm doing she wants to do it too. Usually she tugs on me while I'm in the Kitchen saying "I unh making too!" (unh = want)
Once Alyssa and David returned from their cruise we took the kids to the Zoo in Tacoma. They had a pretty cool area for the kids to play.
Seahorses. So. Cool.
Adriana painted Hayley a picture on the 4th of the Sheep from her favorite show (Shawn the Sheep) watching the fireworks. Pretty good! And then I promptly forgot to pack it home.
We had a great time! At the end of the week Skyler drove back to us from working all week after Officials camp and we quickly made sure our bikes and bags were all set for our big ride to Portland!
