Our only child.

It's been a crazy busy month preparing for "Vincent" to arrive.
A few last shots of Hayley as an only child.

Taking part in Lick's doller scoop Thursday's.

 4th of July celebrations

 Stake Pioneer Activity

One of our new favorite activities- "watering" the plants.
Hayley loves to scoop little cups of water, playing with her funnel and tiny watering can on the patio.
Makes the hot days bearable :)

Pretty girl.

Classic H. relaxing watching her shows.

We've loved having you as the center of our attention for just over 3 years now Haybug.
We are so excited that you get to be "baby brother's" big sister.
We know that you will love him just as we have loved you.

Hike.

With two weeks to go, I went on a hike with our Relief Society.
Call me crazy, I even wore flip-flops to further convince myself to wait with the kids at the bottom.
But.. when I initially thought it was 3 miles round trip and then it turned out to only be 1, I decided to do it. It was steep with switchbacks but once at the top, the view was amazing.

It's called Kaniak Butte, it's beautiful. You can see the rolling Palouse hills for miles.
There is a nice playground at the bottom and even a few campsites, plus it's only about 15min. outside of Pullman.

Sarah and Emily singing a beautiful compilation of Primary
songs to a Jack Johnson style guitar accompaniment.

I'm so glad I was able to enjoy the serenity, quiet and company of my fellow sisters.

This is just from our patio, but I've really grown to
appreciate the beautiful sunsets here on the Palouse.

Happy 4th of July

This year we celebrated on our own, staying in Pullman.
Hayley and I ventured out to the Johnson St. Parade, in a teeny tiny town outside of Pullman.
Skyler seized the opportunity of a day off and played golf in the morning with his friends.

It was pretty cute and really random selection of floats, some throwing candy.

Later after naps, we all went down to Sunnyside park where the city had their big picnic celebrations.
Complete with a instrumental band, blow up slide, bouncy house and rock band.

They were even serving ice cream from the WSU creamery, yumm.

Hayley wanted to make sure baby made it into the pictures. :)

The weather was perfect! We had a great time at the park, we headed home just before the sun went down to watch fireworks from our patio so H. could get to bed.

Visit Home

Hayley has been taking swim lessons for a couple weeks. Not that she can actually swim by herself yet, but she has made great progress in getting comfortable in the pool. She'll lay back and float (with assistance), go under water as asked, pull herself out of the pool (so cute to watch those little arm muscles hard at work) and jump in. She's doing great, we are so proud of her progress!

Just before we left for our trip to visit my family in Kent, Hayley was playing with my new baby carrier, which was way too big for her and her baby. So I made her a sling from a scarf I had. She was so excited to carry around her baby just like I will carry around baby brother soon.

While in Kent, my Grandma threw a family reunion at a Pirate themed place. Due to dates and weather, the whole extended family didn't come and we had to move location for part of the day but we still had fun.

Waiting patiently at Red Robin afterwards for some dinner.

We had a great week, we went to the Zoo one day (forgot my camera though-boo.)
Went to Ikea a few times and got the kids' dresser situation figured out, got some other fun stuff needed for the baby's room. And we got a new (to us) stroller/bike trailer, yay!
While Hayley and I were off having fun with family, Skyler was back in Pullman working for a few days and then went to a Basketball officials camp in Ellensburg.

Thought we would document both Alyssa and I being pregnant at the same time. I'm due at the end of this month, she at the end of August, with twins!

Mom and Dad's last picture of their three grandkid's before this number doubles :)

And one more of me and Grandma Forbes, she thought she was going to escape the camera :)
