6mos.

Hobbson is 6 months!

He is so happy and loves his sister.

His check up went great, he is growing so fast!
28.5" long
20lbs 13oz
18.5" head cir.

Thats 95% for weight, and 100+% for height and head measurements.
We're so grateful for a healthy boy.
We love you Hobbsy!

Just for kicks...I took a similar picture of Hayley although she was only 3mos.

Sibling Love

These two love each other.
Hobbes lights up when he watches Hayley.
Hayley is always concerned about Hobbes, what he's doing, where is is, what he's playing with.

Her favorite thing at bedtime is to have him lay next to her in her bed so she can give him loves.

Naturally all this love and attention wears him out.

Hayley and a friend swapped dress up clothes...
Seeing your child in a unicorn costume with a sparkly boa is pretty funny :)

Hayley's been yearning for nicer weather, lately on sunny day's, although freezing, she goes outside and blows bubbles. Just about every day she also asks to go on a bike ride.
"Mommy, we haven't gone a bike wide in a weally weally long time."
Hope I can take her soon.

3rd Christmas and Happy New Year's!

Friday, we packed our bags and took the Train to Portland.
That in itself was an adventure since I was alone with the kids. Luckily we found a station to board where we could check our bags and carseats. Hayley wasn't even scared when the train came up (they are pretty big and loud.) We visited the bathrooms and the food cart. For some reason we were seated in the Business class. Which was fun, little larger seats and we got coupons to use in the food cart.
(Who could pass up free chips and M&Ms at 10am?!)

We made it to Portland where Skyler's parents picked us up and headed to lunch at my favorite bakery nonetheless, to meet up with his three sisters.

Skyler drove to Seaside to meet up with all of us after officiating a Community College game in Walla Walla Saturday night.
It was a long, late drive but we were sure happy to see him :)

We celebrated Christmas on New Year's Eve eve. All the kids were very excited to be together. It was pretty crazy, but fun to remember times when we would go to family gatherings and I was SO excited to see my own cousins.

(Kylee, Hayley, Ashlyn & Tessa in blue)

We went to the Seaside Library one day and made all sorts of puppets. We also made snowflakes to send to the children in Newtown, CT.

Hayley and Milena are only 1 year apart and are virtually inseparable at family functions. Hayley nearly refuses to go anywhere without Milena. Such love :) Good thing they're so cute together or we might have had problems.

Happy New Years!

As a New Years tradition, since we are usually all together at New Years celebrating late Christmas with everyone, Ben & Jodi bring their chocolate fountain and we pull out all the stops, scotcheroo balls, strawberries, bananas, pineapple, cinnamon bears, pretzels, donut holes, apples gosh did I forget anything?! Cider!

Hobbes getting his dinner, not quite as exciting as the scotcheroo balls
next to him, but hey yams are good too.

Since the kids don't really understand the concept of celebrating the New Year, we didn't feel like putting them and us through misery by keeping them up till midnight. So we had fake New Years at about 9pm. We had party hats, noise makers, music and hurrah-ing. And then put them all to bed :)

We took an adventure with the kids to Longbeach, WA. We walked the boardwalk and up the beach. Played in the sand and enjoyed the fresh saltwater air.

2nd Christmas!

We celebrated Christmas Day with my family in Kent. Hayley was very excited to see her cousins.
Adriana, Paxton, Caleb, Logan, Hayley and Hobbes.

It was a busy trip, we arrived Friday, Saturday we left Hayley with my parents and had a date. We drove to Portland, ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Shopped a little (note: it was MADDNESS at Washington Sq. mall since it was the Sat. before Christmas) We checked into our hotel, rested a minute and met up with a couple friends to go to the Blazers game. The game was so fun, Hobbes did great until the end... we had a nice breakfast at the hotel Sunday morning and drove back to Kent just in time to go to church with my parents.

Because WSU is part of the State, (which has no feelings or soul) Skyler had to return to work the day after Christmas. Which meant driving home to Pullman Christmas Day after dinner. boo. All was well though, he worked a few days, officiated 3 games and drove to Seaside to meet us for
the third part of Christmas.

While he was gone, I stayed at my parents and had fun with the kids.
Aside from getting sick (I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to mold, and turns out the Westside in all it's rainy moist glory is also terrible for my asthma makes me sick just about every time we visit. )

But alas, we had fun anyway. It was Boeing day at the Museum of Flight,
and since my whole family works at Boeing, we went!

This one cracks me up since Hayley is TERRIFIED of mascots and large costumed people. (including Santa, as mentioned in first Christmas post) She willingly waited her turn and held his hand for a picture. Silly girl.

They had a great time being able to sit in many of the planes.

Hayley said the car-plane was her favorite, so we got a picture of it. It's quite the contraption.

Christmas day we celebrated at my sister's new house. We don't usually get together with my Aunts/Uncles/Cousins but this time we had my Mom's two sisters' families come. It was so nice to catch up with everyone. Sadly I didn't get any pictures :(
