 Happy 3rd Birthday Hayley!
We started the day off with her favorite breakfast, pancakes.
A fish one to be exact. She started sobbing when I said Happy Birthday at breakfast, she thought the pancake was replacing the cupcake she had been asking for for weeks. Silly girl :)

We went to the park to play with friends, we all sang Happy Birthday and she got that cupcake she'd been waiting for.

She then treated me by taking a 3 hour nap!

We met Skyler for dinner at Cougar Country, she loved it.

Then we went home for a pink sprinkled brownie w/ice cream and opening gifts.

 She was excited.
 New clothes from Great Grandma...
and a Fisher Price doctor's kit! She also got a pink mylar cupcake balloon, which is getting the same amount of excitement as the actual gifts she got :) figures.

We love you Hayley, Happy Birthday!

We made a slideshow with some pictures from Hayley's first three years. We are celebrating her birthday tomorrow and then in a couple of weeks when Grandparents are here for a weekend visit. Enjoy!

Girl's Weekend!

This weekend, was awesome.

It was mid-70's and sunny, for starters.

We left Friday at noon for Spokane. Hit up Nordstom Rack and Spokane Valley Mall and then met up with some more ladies for dinner at Cafe Rio. So good.

We all got tickets to attend Time Out for Women. A women's centered conference held in different cities around the country in Spring and Fall, featuring amazing uplifting speakers and musical talents. This year is their 10th anniversary. The theme was "Seek the Good"

That night we heard from:

John Bytheway, who had a cool analogy about marinades. "Regardless of your original intention you will eventually become like those you surround yourself with."

Dallyn Vail Bayle, musical performer and actor. Has an awesome opera-like voice and even performed some songs from Broadway plays. (I'm not well versed in Broadway and couldn't tell you which ones though)

Brad Wilcox: Speaking on knowing the names of Christ and doing all things, in the name of Christ. "On hard days there is power in knowing that as we know His names, he know's ours"
It was a great session, afterwards we got some ice cream and headed for our hotel. Which we stayed up till 2am laughing and chatting. :)

At the Saturday session we heard from more amazing speakers:
Hilary Weeks performed a number of beautiful songs as
well as adding her thoughts between speakers.
"In eternity we get to know our children as adults, but just for now, we get to know them as children."
I hope I never forget this great piece of insight.

Chris Williams told an amazing story of forgiveness.
You can watch a short video made about his store here.

I got to hear Kris Belcher again, such a funny lady. She spoke about getting in the living waters of Christ rather than just going through the motions. The words of Christ will tell you all things you should do. So listen!

S.Michael Wilcox: Search, Layhold, Cleave.
It is how we learn how much we love & the value of things by losing what we love.

Merrilee Boyack spoke on the CPR analogy.
Caring Plus Response
1:Open your eyes to see
2:Open your hearts to feel
3:Take action in your own way
4:Invite others to do good

Emily Watts spoke on Our video game of life and the "Hint's book"
Some hints to life she gave were:
1:Sometimes good needs a catylyst
2:Good does not always reside in your comfort zone
3:Good often appears in disguise
4:Good takes patience
5:Good is primarily others-centered
Thought: Who is watching & building their skills by watching me?

I had a blast and am so grateful I was able to go and be uplifted. I have the best girlfriends anyone could ask for :) Sadly, my camera was on video when we took a picture of all of us,we took this one afterwards but we're not all in it :(
