Since Skyler needed to report to his new job pretty fast, he packed everything he could fit in his car and we were set to have 17 days apart. It was a rough 17 days. Luckily my mom came part way to help me tie up ends and finish packing.
Since I've moved 9 times in 9 years... I've learned a few things about the process.
Get rid of everything you don't absolutely need, and try to sell those things! Moving is expensive!
Schedule yourself. Schedule specific times for packing, cleaning and playing. That way you don't get burned out as fast.
We had some hard moments in those 17 days. We also had some silly ones.
Movies with friends, Thomas family, we will miss you!
My friend Leslie's daughter was baptized just before we left and I was able to take some scraps from her wedding dress and make Payton a special baptism dress.
Hayley sure enjoyed some quiet time jamming with head phones on the patio.
Playdates with friends.

One last Lentil Festival
Traditional photo in front of the Lentil chili pot. This was the first year it wasn't 100 degrees, sweltering hot. It actually down-poured right after this picture.
Sunday selfie.
One last visit to Kamiak Butte.

Sweet Mutiny good-bye party with my Student ward ladies. I will miss you gals! And I already miss all those who aren't in this picture!!
Mom and I decided to take the drive and check out Steptoe Butte before we moved. It was amazing. It was hot, but clear, the signs say you can see 200miles. At the top you seriously have a 360 view.
At the bottom, we stopped at probably the last wheat field to be harvested. (and the tractor was coming!) There was also this little field of apple trees, all the apples were on the ground and randomly Hayley just started picking them up and chucking them at the tree. Then she stopped and got back in the car. Hehehe.
No filter, no modifications, seriously picture perfect day.
Had to hit up Ferdinand's one last time!

Sunnyside Park one more time!
The "fun" way to watch TV when Mom sells the couch...

Thomason Playground. So many good times here.
Beautiful Pullman Sunsets.
We had such a great apartment. I wouldn't trade our experience in Pullman for anything. I will truly cherish the friendships I've made there. Living in this apartment saved me. Having friends always around was such a blessing. Being in a centrally located place was awesome. We could and did walk everywhere. Pulling the kids around town and even to Moscow a few times on my bike. Walking to park playdates all summer long, to the church for walking group. I learned to love the hills.
August 29 came, and so did a whole bunch of sweet friends from our ward(s) and Skylers work.
The Truck was loaded in 45min. We had pizza and floats and said goodbyes.
Saturday morning we finished cleaning, turned in the keys and played at the playground one last time.
We made a pretty uneventful 8hr drive from Pullman to Gearhart.
Where we unloaded everything into a storage unit, had some dinner that Lynn & Joell had graciously waiting for us. and we collapsed into bed.

I love this post. It made me happy/sad/happy/bittersweet. Miss you.
