Two Weeks.

I'll be blunt, this has been our past two weeks.

Skyler is hit by a car while on his bike.
I had a c-section, Baby Hobbes is born!
Hobbes has Jaundice and requires Biliruben lights at home.
Not terrible, but pretty inconvenient, including daily visits to the doctor for blood tests. Boo.
 My grandmother passed away.
Mom had to leave early to help her Dad.
We bought a new car!

It's been a stressful couple weeks but we are surviving.
Skyler is fine, just scrapes, bruises and a sprained wrist.
I'm healing good considering what a c-section entails.
Hobbes's levels are back in the safe zone and he's back to birth weight.
I was pretty sad to have to miss my grandma's service gathering but I'm grateful to all that went and to hear that Grandpa was smiling reminiscing stories with friends about Grandma.
I was pretty sad to see Mom leave but I understand she was torn between wanting to help me and needing to be with her sister's and Dad.
The new car is pretty exciting, I haven't been able to actually drive it until today since I've been sore and on meds, but it was a fun 2 miles I took it out for!
Skyler's mom came to help us early, which we've been super grateful for.

Grandpa Chuck
You were always loving, thoughtful, smart, knowledgeable and so talented.
We love you and will miss you terribly Grandma!

  3. Whoa, Chels. Sounds awful. I am glad to hear that baby is here okay though and all is well with him and that you and Skyler are recovering from all that you have endured. Hope the transition from mommy of one to mommy of two goes smoothly, you deserve it. :)
