With two weeks to go, I went on a hike with our Relief Society.
Call me crazy, I even wore flip-flops to further convince myself to wait with the kids at the bottom.
But.. when I initially thought it was 3 miles round trip and then it turned out to only be 1, I decided to do it. It was steep with switchbacks but once at the top, the view was amazing.
It's called Kaniak Butte, it's beautiful. You can see the rolling Palouse hills for miles.
There is a nice playground at the bottom and even a few campsites, plus it's only about 15min. outside of Pullman.

I'm so glad I was able to enjoy the serenity, quiet and company of my fellow sisters.
This is just from our patio, but I've really grown to
appreciate the beautiful sunsets here on the Palouse.
