This September, Skyler (hopefully) had his last first day of school!
(He wouldn't let me take his picture in front of the door though)
Hayley started Pre-School! (sort of) It's called P.S. I love you, a mommy and me co-op kind of pre-school.
She was happy to oblige to the picture in front of the door on our first day.
This one is looking down around the corner of the door. She fell asleep on the floor for the first time during nap!
With all the important items: sippy, Elmo, monkey, sheep and no less than 2 blankets of course. (I think that's a little lego person by the monkey, not usually in the repertoire though)

The next day she fell asleep literally right in front of her door and I had to nudge my way in to put her in bed.
On what we thought would be our last warm week of the season, we had a lovely picnic at Sunnyside park with some friends....and lots of hungry ducks!
So here we are, Happy Fall! We're expecting almost 90 degrees this weekend!
This is Hayley's new play table! I'm so excited to reveal my re-do!
One day while getting Hayley out of the car to come inside I spied this older lady harping at her grandson to get all this stuff into the trunk to haul away...when I spotted this little table packed with a half a bathtub worth of mega blocks. (I know because I had to wash and sanitize them) Somehow I gathered enough courage to ask her if she was indeed getting rid of the toys. She said yes and that I could have it! The table weighed probably 45lbs and was full of dead bugs and spider web ridden blocks, but I hauled it up and decided it would be the perfect kids table!
I took out 20 square top painted over 4inch screws (hard core for a kids table, no?) stripped off the heavy circle on top and the pieces on the sides. Sanded and painted, re-glued the mega block building pad and ta-da!
My lil' girl LOVES it.
What do you think!?
Looks great. Nice work! I love the box on the shelf too.
ReplyDeleteThat looks awesome
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented! I had thought of getting her one of these for Christmas last year but wondered if it would just be in the way in your apartment. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed! That table turned out awesome!
ReplyDeleteChelsea, you never cease to amaze me!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! I have a hard time seeing the potential in things like that table...but it turned out great!
