Happy Easter!

Saturday we had our Stake Easter Activity
We had fun,  egg hunt, Easter bunny pictures (that Hay was excited about until he actually walked in and then wanted nothing to do with) and each wards' Primary sang 1 song. So cute.

Our cute kids, they were so excited, I wish they all could have been able to be there :)

More traveling

After returning from Utah, we had a down week, then Skyler packed up and headed for Tampa FL. for the annual NIRSA conference. Where he did volunteer work, went to classes and met with lot's of other Professionals in the Intramurals and Recreational field.
Skyler was also awarded the Dr. William N. Wasson award for student leadership and academics.
Way to go!

Meanwhile, Hayley and I drove to Kent to visit my family!
It happened that my parents ward was having a Pinewood Derby race, so naturally my Dad (the car lover) rounded up all his previous Pinewood cars along with finishing a few new ones and invited his three grandkids to join in the fun. They all loved it!
(not the most flattering picture of Hayley but she was excited and chatty)

 Hay and Mom

The whole gang after a night of fun :)

I didn't get many pictures after this- BUT we did have fun hanging out with my sister a bunch. We all went to this big Consignment sale at the Puyallup fair grounds. I was especially excited to find a baby swing for a great price as well as some baby essentials so our lil guy will have something to wear :)
We also got to go see the house my sister's family is in the process of buying. It's awesome and such a great fit, hopefully they can move soon.
We extended our stay a couple days and watched all of General Conference at my parents. Grandma Forbes even came by for dinner and stayed awhile. So great to see her too.
Hayley and I headed home Monday after a week of family fun to see Sky again.

Spring Break in Utah!

This year we took a road trip to Utah for Spring Break. I have never "driven" to Utah and was pretty excited :) We left Thursday after Sky was done at work, driving to Boise for the night.

 Leaving the Palouse

It worked out that Sky's parents were traveling to Boise late as well and we got there about the same time and drove the rest of the way Friday in tandom.
Our hotel was right next to the Boise Temple but I didn't get a picture :(

We went to the Salt Lake Temple to do a session. I had never done one at Salt Lake so that was awesome!  Stopping at In n'out for lunch after :) yum.

LDS Conference Center, it was a beautiful day to  be at Temple square.
Hayley and GG (Grandma Claudia) got lots of bonding time. Helping in the garden, eating her weight in peaches, pancakes and generally being doted on by GG and Sky's parents :)
Hayley LOVED the space to run and play, it was a bonus that the weather was warm, at mid 60's (compared to Pullman.)

Hayley got a circus tent! It's really cute and collapses pretty easy,
she loves sharing it with whoever will come in :)

One day we drove up to Brigham City to see the new Temple they are building, it was beautiful!

We also spent some time at Grandma Mona's house, we had a great gathering and saw all of Sky's cousins and aunts & uncles.

Heading out, grabbed one more picture with Claudia.

Tuesday we left and headed on the Montana side to stay in Butte for the night.
We passed through Rexburg, stopping at BYU Idaho to look around a bit. We seriously saw the biggest church building ever, it was huge! And of course the Temple, always a nice sight.

While it was sunny and somewhat warm in Utah it was lightly snowing
and cold when we arrived in Butte.

I didn't get a shot, but we did see the legendary "Lady on the Mountain"

It is 90 feet tall and stands lit up glowing on top of the Rockies at night. Pretty cool.
Wednesday, we got back in the car and continued up the Montana side through Missoula.

Seriously gigantic truck with gigantic tires.
Our traveler, being silly as ever.
While it was snowing when we woke up in Butte, we passed through all different terrains that day.
 All of which beautiful.

And we finally made it back to the beautiful sunny palouse.

I especially enjoyed getting to see all the little towns in Utah, Idaho and Montana that I've met people from.  We had a great time and cant wait to see everyone again!
