Happy Thanksgiving!

This is what happens when you take 8 grandchildren to Costco.

Since the Archibald side of the family were all gathering for Thanksgiving this year, we decided it would be more relaxing overall to have festivities at the church building.

It was awesome. Plenty of room to spread out, kids ran wild in the gym with balls etc while we set up snacks and got dinner ready in another room.

After dinner and once the allure of gym space and balls had worn out, I brought out a bunch of minute-to-win-it games. We had a blast! They really got into it too!

After that we settled back down at the table for some Thanksgiving BINGO and pie.

Just for kicks, Joell got these funny turkey hats.
Jacob took a liking to them and was wearing it all over. Funny guy :)

November Fun

Would you like some cheese with that? ;)
The blazer is a tad big but he LOVED it.

Feeling a bit shy about Skyler taking pictures at her Kindergarten Thanksgiving program.

Being a working Mom, I missed out. :( I was pretty sad.

Hayley got strep. Again.
But so brave and still smiling even after they stuck the long scary q-tips in her throat. eek.

School fundraiser Turkey Trot fun run.
Assessing the other runners...

She was so pumped! But ultimetly chickened out and refused to run along with them.
She was excited about the shirt...and then I could barely get her to put it on for a pic.
I think she is the turkey...

Skyler's brother's wife had Twins!

Tagging Along

It's basketball season, so Skyler is pretty busy and away much of the week. So when we can, we try to tag along to see some of his games and make the most of the time we spare together.
He happened to have a couple games in Portland area, so we decided to drop him off and have a playdate with the Kleins! It was so fun to see Brenna and her boys.

We crashed at a hotel since Skyler had more games in Portland the next day.
First things first, unplug the phones (thanks for the tip Heather Lively!)
and then have a massive pillow fight!

After all the excitement...hayley woke up to a sore throat.
Later she puked in the car...which is so fun and smells amazing. not.

Turns out she had strep. We hit the walk-in clinic right when we got back to town before they closed for the night. She was on the mend pretty quick after that. Medicine is amazing!

Halloween

Happy Halloween!
From Belle and Nemo

We had a great week of celebrating between class parties at school,
trunk or treat at church, trick or treating at the mall and hitting up the neighbors.

Let's just say that Hobbes LOVED his fish costume.
(which was made by my sister, who also made matching fin and dori costumes for her kids last year)
He did not want to take it off, he absolutely adored wearing it as much as possible.

Happy Halloween!

What a week of celebrating, our Nemo and Belle had so much fun!

Can I just say that the kids both loved their costumes, thanks for the hand-me-downs Alyssa!
Hobbes was SO excited whenever he got to wear his fish around,
he liked stearing by holding the eyeballs.
(Alyssa made them for her kids and also made Dori and Fin.)

Hayley made this piece at school. I'm so proud of how her reading and writing skills are coming along. Also this is one of her first drawings of a person with hair!

Hitting up a couple neighbors

I love this picture, we were at Cousin Abes soccer game.
Just the simplicity of color and all the green make me smile.

BFF's and sweats always make for a great photo.
